Deciding whether or not to re-sign your lease at your current apartment can be a tough decision. All your stuff is already where it belongs and moving can be such a hassle. HOW DOES YOUR 60 DAY NOTICE WORK?

Leasing offices usually want you to give them a 60 day notice so they can put your apartment back on the market to be leased by someone else. If you’re looking to sign a new lease, give us a call about 2 weeks prior to your 60 day notice so we can chat with you about potential options and if you decide to move out, we can find you availability shortly after the 60 day point. If you decided to look too early, keep in mind that you might be losing out on ‘look and lease’ specials and the pricing will not be accurate. We always tell our clients to just screen shot us anything you find on the internet and we can add it to the list of places to check when the time comes! If you already gave your notice and waited until the last minute, no worries! We can help you with an ASAP, “I need to move today!” situation!

WHEN CAN YOU LEASE AT A BRAND NEW PROPERTY?

With new properties popping up all the time, we want you to be able to take advantage of the best ‘lease up’ specials! Brand new apartments will generally hold an apartment for 30-60 days, but in rare cases they can sometimes pre-lease up to 6 months out. There are pros and cons to pre-leasing that early though! You could run into construction issues and have your move in date pushed, or you could put money down on a spot too early and miss out on other potential options that might work better for you within your 60 day mark!
