North Dallas
Perfect for
Living in North Dallas
If you’re always finding yourself in Preston Hollow and Highland Park, then being in North Dallas might be for you! Located just under the craziness of 635, North Dallas squeezes together popular neighborhoods from East to West, including Highland Park, Preston Hollow, Midtown, University Park, and even parts of the city near Love Field, aka Bluffview!
You’ll typically find your shopaholics in North Park, The Shops at Park Lane, Highland Park Village, and The Galleria, which reside in this area, on top of being the very best neighborhood for proximity to grocery stores like Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Costco, and Central Market (an unspoken treasure in relation to our central Dallas residents). If you’re constantly running and love shopping the racks, this is certainly the place to be in.
The star of the show here is certainly Highland Park, the affluent neighborhood in the middle of the city, where you’ll find homes with at least two commas, designer brands galore, and you’ll never bat an eye when the wait time at Honor Bar is over an hour. Other hotspots include Lounge 31, Monkey Bar, and Sadelle’s. There aren’t too many apartments here, but you’ll have nearby options in the other North Dallas neighborhoods.
University Park sits right at the top of North Dallas before you roll into central Dallas. Home of the SMU Mustangs, the campus is always buzzing with energy — think game days, coffee shops full of students, and a steady stream of nightlife on SMU Blvd.
The farther north you go, the friendlier rent gets, along with new communities in North Dallas showing up left and right. You have easy access to all the major highways for commuting, and have the easiest time when it comes to getting to a grocery store quicker than anyone else in the city.
