Gold Coast
Perfect for
Living in Gold Coast
Gold Coast is one of those neighborhoods that can do both. Most streets are quiet and charming, but you can definitely find a place to go out if that’s the vibe. It’s a mix of vintage walk-ups, fancy high-rises, and tree-lined streets that feel lowkey, even though you’re right next to downtown. Pricing leans higher, especially in the newer high-rises. If you’re on a lower budget, expect older buildings with window AC, communal laundry, and carpet. It’s part of the trade-off, you’re paying for a crazy good location over luxury. You’re steps from Oak Street Beach and the Lakefront Trail for walks, beach days, or joining a run club. Plus, Washington Square Park is nearby for your dog to run around & socialize and you get the Division Street Farmer’s Market every Saturday in the summer. Add in iconic restaurants like Maple & Ash and Gibsons, plus a TON of shopping on Oak Street and the Mag Mile, and it’s easy to see why everyone loves Gold Coast. Just don’t expect easy street parking.
