Living in Lincoln Park

Lincoln Park is one of those neighborhoods that really has range. It’s got big city access with a quieter, more residential feel. Think tree-lined streets, cute coffee shops, unique restaurants, dive bars and people walking their dogs at all hours. Most of the apartments here are classic walk-ups, and while you can find some mid-rise, professionally managed buildings, those usually come with a higher price tag. Pricing in general varies depending on how updated the unit is and how close you are to the park, lake, or popular streets. The neighborhood is super walkable and packed with things to do, from Lincoln Park Zoo (it’s free, btw) to the Conservatory and lakefront trail. It’s also home to Armitage Avenue, which is known for some of the best boutiques, treats like Annette’s Italian Ice, and restaurants like Armitage Alehouse. Downsides? This is a super sought after area, so bidding wars are common when you find a good spot, it is very competitive. However, if you’re into a well-rounded, lived-in neighborhood that still feels city-adjacent, Lincoln Park’s a strong pick.
