What Its Known For
Downtown has a lot to offer for people of all ages. One of Smart City’s favorite thing to do is lounge around Klyde Warren Park on a sunny 75 degree spring day. There are food trucks lined up along the edge of the Park and there is always some sort of an event planned! Live music every Thursday evening, yoga classes, boot camps, book giveaways, and more. Next to Klyde Warren is the Dallas Museum of Art, where you can see collection highlights from amazing artists, or cool off and chill out on a hot summer day. There is also the Nasher Sculpture center and the Perot Museum, so there is always plenty of arts and culture in Downtown Dallas.
And who doesn’t want to go shopping? Downtown is home to the original headquarters of Neiman Marcus, as well as many other fashion hubs. You can walk out of the lobby of your Downtown Dallas hi-rise and into the city’s bustling downtown scene. Shop til’ you drop, or drop your bags off at home and shop some more. You have the some of the best shopping at your fingertips when you live in the heart of the city!
Everyone loves food. Live downtown and you can walk to some of the best restaurants Dallas has to offer! Other than the sweet food trucks at Klyde Warren Park, you can have a divine burger at Chop House, or spend some serious money at Bob’s Steak House at the Omni Hotel. Satisfy your spicy cravings with some Tex-Mex food at El Fenix or check out the breathtaking view of downtown at Wolfgang Puck’s Five Sixty Restaurant. Either way, downtown is the place to be for fine dining.
Downtown Dallas has some of the coolest lofts we’ve ever seen. Industrial style, concrete floors, high ceilings, exposed ductwork, views of the city… Downtown has it. Some of the lofts are older, built in the 20’s and 30’s and remodeled, and some of them are brand new but still embody the same lofty feel. We’ve seen swimming pools on rooftops and everything from 400sqft studio lofts to 3000sqft penthouse lofts. Whatever you’re into, we’re the apartment locators that can find it for ya!
