Some people call West Dallas “hipster heaven.” Dallas’s first public mural/free wall is located here. Artists from all over can be found here. It is also a great area if you are outdoorsy because you’ll be super close to Trinity Groves and Trammell Crow Park. You can run or walk the trails along the Trinity River while enjoying the Dallas skyline in the distance.
Trinity Groves is home to several eateries and bars. It’s a collection of restaurants, all with outdoor seating options, which is super cool! From The Hall to Saint Rocco’s, the options are endless. If you’re looking for a place to grab a beer after work, be sure to check out LUCK. They have tons of craft beer options, and the cool part is they only serve local beers. When you are finished eating you can go take some skyline / Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge pics from Trinity Groves Park! West Dallas also neighbors some of our favorite areas including the Design District and the Bishop Arts District, so you are close to the great restaurants and bars there as well!
Smoke is a BBQ restaurant located right next to the Belmont Hotel with views of Downtown Dallas and probably some of the best barbecue this city has seen. Another local joint is Chicken Scratch, which we think is one of the best places to patio drink in Bishop Arts. As for the Smart City team, we brunch at Jonathan’s on the reg for chicken and waffles and a build-your-own Bloody Mary bar. Win!
There is a variety of properties to choose from here that have a range of amenities from granite countertops to gorgeous resort style pools and more. If you want a chill, laid back neighborhood, this fits the bill. And if you need a change of pace, you’ll be just a short Uber from Downtown, Uptown, and Oak Lawn!
