Living in Addison | Richardson
Say hello to Dallas’ north neighbors, Addison and Richardson! Both cities fall just between 635 and PGBT, making these cities notorious for being heavy traffic hotspots.
Although Addison is small, it packs a ton in its 5 exits on the tollway with a huge restaurant scene in places like Village on the Parkway and more off of Belt Line. Some of our favorites include brunch at Ida Claire, noodles from Hawkers, spring rolls from Nem, and ice cream from Jeni’s. Addison has a good mix of your typical mid-rises, traditional garden-styles, as well as a couple of townhome options if you’re in need of more space, stairs, and an attached garage.
Just east of Addison, Richardson is a suburb that is known for its Telecom Corridor, a fancy term meaning that there are several tech companies, startups, and other businesses that have HQ’s here. Richardson’s CityLine is basically a cheat code for your post 9-5 life here for happy hour, and if you crave Asian and Indian cuisine often, there are spots everywhere that offer some of the best dim sum, sushi, curry, and hot pot you’ll have in the metroplex. Most apartments here are near the center of the city, giving you easy access to all major highways that run through the city.
