Living in Frisco

If you live in Frisco, you’re automatically an honorary Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader (allegedly). Between The Star, IKEA, and the PGA Headquarters, Frisco’s got plenty of bragging rights compared to other cities in DFW.

The Star District in Frisco is where the Dallas Cowboys’ practice facilities are located as well as where Thunderstruck is played for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders a thousand times a year. You’ll find several skyscraper office buildings and luxury penthouses around here, making Frisco feel like a mini Dallas. Even though the Cowboys are arguably the most popular sports team in Dallas, Frisco is also the home of the Frisco RoughRiders and FC Dallas. Watch a minor league game while you’re floating the lazy river or visit the National Soccer Hall of Fame before catching an MLS game.

Frisco has no shortage of ways to spend your weekend, from the Stonebriar Mall to golfing at the PGA HQ. And in case you haven’t heard, come 2026, Frisco will have its own Universal Studios Resort. You’re also just a couple of minutes away from hubs like Legacy West and Shops at Legacy in Plano, as well as Grandscape in The Colony.

The apartment scene here has something for every price point, from fresh mid-rise communities with unique amenities to 20-story high-rises with luxury finishes. Frisco is the suburb to be in if you crave the city life but also love the quietness of suburbia. The fastest way to get to neighboring cities is on the two tollways that run throughout the city, so make sure you have that blue and orange toll tag on your windshield.
