Living in South Fort Worth

One thing about the South Fort Worth / McPherson / Crowley area is that new properties are popping up left and right. Expect this neighborhood to compete with Alliance for some of the most desirable real estate in the city, especially with a Super Target, H-E-B, and more on the way. Like North Fort Worth, South Fort Worth is a developing suburb that currently has some of the best prices in town, making it the spot I’d recommend investing in before new retail and demand drive up costs.

Right now, renters can expect to pay around $1200+ for a one-bedroom and about $1600 for a two-bedroom with maximum square footage. Nearby streets like Hulen, Alta Mesa, and Bryant Irvin are just 15 minutes more central, but pricing climbs fast the closer you move into those hubs. That’s where you’ll really notice the gap in affordability.

Further south, Burleson almost feels like its own rural town, with spots like Babe’s Chicken and Burleson Town Square. Prices there are even more attractive, but you’re looking at a 25+ minute commute up I-35 if you need to be in central Fort Worth.

So if you’re apartment hunting in Fort Worth and want the perfect balance of space, price, and location, South Fort Worth offers suburbia at a price that stretches your budget further than most other neighborhoods.
