Cabbagetown, located on Atlanta’s east side, is a historic neighborhood, rich with character and culture. Known for its street art, colorful homes, galleries and tight-knit community, Cabbagetown has secured a reputation as the city’s arts district, and a very hip place to be. Relatively small and walkable, residents have easy access to the shopping, dining, entertainment and local events in the neighborhood; including an annual chili cookoff, bluegrass festival, and public block party!
Home to one of the first textile mills in the region, which has now been turned into residential lofts, Cabbagetown has remained an affordable place to live compared to many other neighborhoods surrounding the downtown Atlanta area.
