North Austin includes large neighborhoods like the Domain, the Arboretum, Wells Branch, and Tech Ridge. Tech is a large catalyst for its growth—North Austin is home to office spaces of Apple, Amazon, IBM and more. Of course, growing areas come with growing pains. Major sections of highways along 183 and Mopac are undergoing expansion, but this project also comes with side effects, including increased congestion. The outdoor mall, the Domain, is quieter in comparison to the hustle of Downtown while still offering top-tier dining, shopping, and entertainment. The area is generally more affordable than Central Austin, but new luxury developments are popping up especially in hotspots like The Domain and Q2 Stadium (home of Austin FC).
