Let’s cut to the chase – if you’re looking to live inside the 610-loop for as close to $1k per person as you can get, Alta Med Main is calling your name! The Houston Medical Center typically hosts apartment pricing that’s more competitive than other inner-loop neighborhoods in Houston overall, but Alta takes the cake. Studio units here start at $905, one-bedroom units start at $1,095 and two-bedroom units start at $1,922.
Finishes, features, and amenities most alluring to this new Med Center property are the solar shade window treatments, chef-inspired kitchens, and the two-story gym with Echelon Mirror, and sky lounge. Plus, they’re offering a special of 6-months free for their Wizz Cribs package inclusive of a smart thermostat, plugs, light switches, and a voice assistant ($35/monthly value).

Taylor Heights (Lower Heights)
Taylor Heights might be one of the optimally-located properties on this list. It sits smack-dab between Downtown Houston, everything in the Heights, a Target and Chick-fil-a (HELLO), and the hustle and bustle of everything on Washington Ave. It also backs up to Sawyer Yards, the drive-in, and Buffbrew! When it comes to in-unit finishes, tenants also get the special option of choosing either white or grey finishes styles depending on the floor plan they like.
Taylor Heights is currently running move-in specials that can save you up to $300/month on your rent! After applying move-in specials, starting rates for studio units at Taylor Heights come to about $1,205; one-bedroom units start around $1,354 and two-bedroom units start close to $2,193. In our opinion, competitive pricing might be the second-to-best selling point, though.
Taylor Heights is actually managed by a division of Lennar Homes which means residents get a $250 credit from every rent payment made at any LMC property to go toward a down payment on a Lennar home. This is a unique program, especially if becoming a first-time homebuyer is on your radar!
15th Street Flats (Heights)
This latest Heights addition sits right off Shepherd Drive, across from Heights Beer Garden, down the street from pretty much every Heights food staple, and a couple of blocks from H-E-B. The 15th Street Flats property rests in a prime Heights location and will feature a rooftop pool that’ll leave you feeling like you’re floating above the noise of the city.
