The Windy City is definitely a foodie’s dream. Chicago is jam-packed with dining options, making it a challenge to decide where to try next. Whether you’re contemplating a move to the city or just thinking about changing neighborhoods, we’ve got you covered. This guide is your key to pinpointing the perfect spot to be within steps of your favorite eats. Whether you are feeling a quick bite, a new WFH coffee spot, or a classy 5-star restaurant, we’ve gathered some hotspots that are ideal living situations with food at your fingertips. I’m getting hungry; let’s get to it!

WEST LOOP

West Loop is the most popular spot for all things food, home to some big names like Rose Mary, Nobu Chicago, Swift & Sons, Aba, Au Cheval, and so many more. Not only will you be eating good, but they have a ton of fun bar scenes for whatever your vibe is. You could chill out with some friends at a dive bar, go dancing, or sip some refreshing mocktails; to each their own! Lucky for you, there are also many wonderful apartment homes for all budgets in the West Loop. It would just depend on what style you like, the amenities you are interested in, and if you want any extra perks for your furry friends. It is even walking distance to the Loop, with other exceptional restaurants. However, checking each place off your West Loop restaurant bucket list will definitely take some time.

RIVER NORTH

River North is right where all of the hustle and bustle is! They also have a ton of good eats around each corner. A few faves include STK Chicago, The Smith, Olio e Piu, TAO Asian Bistro, Tanta, and more. You can always find a different cuisine to try out and have a good night out with friends and family. Even if you are looking to go out afterward, there are a lot of bar/restaurant combos to keep the party going! Are you a huge coffee person? Because they also have a ton of great options! To name a few, there are Goddess & the Baker, Fairgrounds, Ground Up, and Blue Bottle. This area is super convenient to live in, usually only steps away from a fun restaurant, grocery store, coffee shop, and even a gym/fitness center. Also, if you want to try some bites in another part of town, you can hop on the Purple, Brown, or Red Lines to get anywhere else you might need!

LOGAN SQUARE

This neighborhood is a little bit northwest of downtown, but it is so worth it! Not a lot of people give enough love to Logan Square, so we are here to hype it up! This neighborhood offers so many delicious options, such as Daises, Giant, Lula Cafe, Kyoten, and Mi Tocaya Antojeria. Also, their farmer’s market is one of the best in the city! This is such a good option for those dying to always try new dishes and flavors, yet also being able to cook some themselves at home. You can get fresh ingredients from the farmers market and try out some of the vendors selling meals there. Near the Blue Line, it is pretty easy to get around to other parts of the city whenever you need to, especially getting to O’hare airport!
