Recap: Best Austin apartment deals from April 2020
April came and went and before we knew it, we helped almost 400 renters find their next apartment in Austin! Even with in-person touring off the table, we secured and sent enough virtual assets to help our clients feel acquainted with their new spaces and make a decision about moving that was comfortable to them. If we can help our clients create a sense of normalcy when it comes to their apartment, that’s exactly what we’re going to do!
That being said, “normalcy” for us means deals. In April, we presented more than 25 units with amazing price-for-location and price-for-finishes. Something to note about Austin (if you don’t know this already) is that everything down to the ZIP code affects pricing here, so it’s important to have a pulse on pricing as it fluctuates each month and season. To make it a little easier to get a gage on what great pricing looks like right now in Austin, here’s a lineup of all the April deals we featured.
Let’s start with our three favorite April apartment deals, shall we…
April 11 – Brand new in Cedar Park, Studio unit – $856
We featured a bundle of units at this brand-new property that, after 4 weeks free, ended up being a crazy-good deal for something so stunning in Cedar Park. The finishes in the unit were crisp and the property offers three different color schemes to choose from, with corresponding tones of a hexagonal backsplash. The floor plan was unique and the unit presented some SERIOUS value for the price overall.
April 15 – Townhouse in Hyde Park, One-bedroom unit – $1,387
Three main things: townhome, fresh renovations, Hyde-freaking-Park. To start, boutique units are few and far between, especially ones this spacious with such a plentiful amount of storage. So, coupled with a bomb location nestled in a beautiful part of historic North Central Austin, this unit was a true gem. Not to mention, other unrenovated units at this same property were boasting some serious ‘90s dorm room vibes (no shade if that’s your thing, but price-for-finishes wise, we prefer this guy).
April 22 – One month free Smart City negotiated deal on the Eastside, Studio unit – $1,188
The prices we negotiated for these units were absolutely unreal for the Eastside. Studio units typically go for $1,500+, so $1,188 for a studio and $1,229 for a one-bed is insane. To give even more perspective, the deal we posted the day prior was the same price for a one-bed and located about three miles north of this unit (further from the city). Since we came to an agreement on a negotiated move-in special, this type of pricing was only available to Smart City clients. The impact negotiated deals can have on optimizing value for our clients is massive and if there’s no other reason to follow us on Instagram, it’s to see the type of “when pigs fly” pricing that every apartment renter in Austin wants to see.
