Best Austin apartment deals in March 2020
If we had to identify three buzzwords we use a lot here at Smart City, they’d probably be apartment deals, market, and free. We post a lot of deals, talk often about pricing in the Austin apartment market, and share all associated freebies that save clients time and money during their apartment hunt – it’s our thing!
Since we only post the best of the best, and all those things are sprinkled throughout our Instagram account, we thought it’d be useful to have them all listed in one place. That way, you can quickly see and compare what makes it a deal (is it because of price/location, location/finishes, or price/finishes); identify consistency in market pricing (based on supply, demand, and location); and, know what comes free in order to get pricing where it’s at (also known as ‘negotiated deals,’ specials or concessions).

March 11 – Unicorn Deal in Hyde Park, Studio unit – $1,053
This studio is part of a property that recently renovated its units, giving them fresh new flooring, matte black faucets, crisp paint and adding washer/dryers in-unit. The area is expensive and historic, so most of the properties are a little dated or very new and super high-budget. This one feels like a true “in-between” and is stunning for being so affordable in the area. That, combined with a special of two weeks free and a gorgeous effective rent of $1,053, made this a “unicorn deal,” a deal rarely seen in the Austin market as a whole.
March 19 – Fantastic price for the Domain, One-bedroom unit, $1,214
This is one where the price-for-location really speaks for itself! This property is brand new and specials saved $2900 throughout the lease term, which is phenomenal. Finishes in this floor plan like the entry-way mudroom, in-closet washer/dryer, and hexagonal backsplash make this unit the ultimate chef’s kiss.
March 29 – Best option for roomies, South/78744, two-bedroom unit, $1,270
You definitely read that right – $1,270 after stacked specials brings rent down to $635 per roomie! Specials at this property also brought a studio down to $910, and though both rates are amazing, the real deal here was that two-bedroom unit. Special features we kept in mind, especially when it comes to the price, is that the entry of both units was on the first floor, and the unit itself was on the second floor, offering extreme lofty vibes and gorgeous vaulted ceilings.
