Seriously, sometimes our only reason for getting out of bed is a great happy hour deal, because why not eat and drink more for less?!?! Here are some of our favorite happy hour spots to check out in Austin if you’re ballin’ on a budget!
THE PEACHED TORTILLA
Happy Hour: Everyday 5-7pm
The Peached Tortilla is a super casual restaurant with retro flair known for their banh mi tacos and other Asian-fusion fare. During happy hour they have hella deals: $3 tacos, $5 wine, $5 cocktails, $5 beer, and a menu of $5 snacks including crispy fries with an egg (so delish), kimchi arancini balls, and charred Brussels sprouts! The best thing about this place is that their happy hour is every single day of the week and they also have a badass brunch on Sunday from 10:30am-2:30pm. If you love Bloody Marys try their Wasabi Mary because seriously, it slays.
TRUDY’S
Happy Hour: Monday-Friday 2-7pm plus daily drink specials
An Austin original since 1977, Trudy’s is a unique Tex-Mex restaurant that serves fresh and local Tex-Mex fare. They have 4 locations in Austin so chances are, you are somewhat close to one of them! Their happy hour includes $2.50 bottle beers, $3.50 draft beers, $3.50 house margs, $6.50 house Mexican martinis, $7.50 Cazadores Silver Mexican martinis, and $4.50 Deep Eddy Flight. They also have a different drink special every day, so go ahead and get your drank on.
BABY ACAPULO’S
Happy Hour: Monday-Friday 2-7pm
Baby A’s is a causal Mexican restaurant famous for their Fruity Rita’s and purple margs! This place has a super chill vibe that’ll make you want to stay and drink all day (seriously). Happy hour includes $2 Lone Star, $1 off bottled beer, $2 domestic drafts, $3 import and specialty drafts, $6 Mexican martini’s, $1 off all Fruity Ritas, and ½ price select appetizers!
CONTIGO
Happy Hour: Monday-Thursday 5-7pm
Contigo is a modern ranch-style bar and restaurant in East Austin with a super cute patio and outdoor seating. The food at Contigo is very unique with items on the menu ranging from ox-tongue sliders to fried quail eggs! Happy hour includes $1 off bar snacks, $1 off draft beer, $1 off wine, and $2 off signature cocktails! They also have other badass daily deals, including $1 fried chicken on Thursday’s…..ummm yes!!
GARAGE
Happy Hour: Monday-Friday 5-7pm
This place is legit a garage!!!! Tucked inside the American National Bank parking garage, this hidden gem is seriously like no other place. Garage has vintage yet modern vibes and happy hour includes $4 off cocktails and $1 off beer and wine!! They also offer a small food menu featuring Garage Taiyaki with Japanese cakes and poke available up to closing at 2am. Who doesn’t love snacks at 2am?!?
