Austinites take their coffee very, very seriously. It’s the fuel that keeps us going- whether it be for work, school, or play. Coffee shops are a dime a dozen here in Austin; they are EVERYWHERE, which is a good thing because you never have to drive far to get that perfect cup. Because there are so many awesome coffee shops it was hard to narrow it down, but here are some of our favorites!
Open from 6:30am-12am
We might be a little biased on this one because Radio is literally walking distance from our office, but the coffee is great and they also have 26 beers on tap! The outdoor is patio is huge and when the weather is nice you can count on this shop to be bumpin’. Radio is always packed, no matter what time of day! And for lunch you can grab tacos at Veracruz All Natural right outside on the patio. Located in South Austin on Manchaca!
Open from 7am-9pm
Most famously known for its iconic graffiti and the I Love You So Much wall, Jo’s Coffee has been an essential Austin hangout since 1999. The coffee spot has its own custom Stumptown blend, and for hunger pains, they offer a variety of sandwiches and breakfast tacos on the menu. Jo’s also hosts multiple fundraisers and you can enjoy live music every week! Located on South Congress!
Open 24 hours
Buzz Mill is a 24 hour full service bar and coffee shop that serves coffee, beer, brunch and all things lumberjacky. This place has a huge patio where they host multiple events, like comedy night, live music, and awesome happy hour deals. The coffee is amazing don’t get me wrong, but one of the best things on their menu is the infused liquor- my fav being the Walnut Whiskey and the Spicy Mango Tequila, plus they are all handmade! Located on East Riverside!
Open 24 hours
This is a super cool spot in Austin with a very chill vibe and it’s a nice place to grab some coffee and relax. Monkey Nest serves unique cups of coffee, fresh baked pastries and other lunch items, and they also host live music every week! If you’ve never been you HAVE to try the Monkey’s Uncle (Peanut Butter, Banana, Mocha) and a slice of the chocolate cake. Located on Burnet Rd!
Fleet Coffee Co is not your average coffee shop. Opened in March of 2016, this tiny coffee bar took Austinites by surprise. When we say tiny, we mean tiny. The shop only holds about 20 people- including outdoor seating! This funky coffee bar serves unique coffee concoctions such as The Saturday Morning Ritual made with Fruity Pebble infused milk and the E.T made with tonic water, espresso, lime simple syrup. It may sound weird but everything on the menu is delicious. Located on Webberville Rd!
