Barton Springs Pool
Right in the heart of Austin, lies a swimming hole infamously known as Barton Springs Pool. Locals love to come here in the heat of the summer and cool down. Since this pool is sourced from natural springs it stays the same temperature year round which is around 68-70 degrees. It’s the perfect place to swim, picnic, and get your tan on with your friends!
Zilker Park
Across the street from Barton Springs Pool, you will find probably the most well known park in Austin, Zilker Park! Bring a hammock, or blanket and enjoy a relaxing day off with friends here. Bring a kite or play with your dog as well! There are also many sports organizations that get together and play games here. With gorgeous views of the Austin skyline, so much space this is the perfect location to enjoy all that this city has to offer. Free concert series “Blues on the Green” are featured here in the summer with various local Austin artists. In early fall, Austin City Limits (also known by many as ACL) is held here typically in the early fall and is a huge music festival that attracts people from all over the world! Many famous artists have been here, and it is a favorite festival among Austinites.
