Hey, friends – Dallasites101, here! Can we get a round of applause for cooler temps and incredible patio weather? Sometimes there’s literally no transition between 80 and 40 degrees in Dallas which means that plans can turn to a no-go pretty quickly, but we’re here to help with that!

We’ve rounded up 10 of the best restaurants and bars in town to cozy-up next to an indoor fireplace, alongside 10 places with patio fire pits and fireplaces to huddle around. We found spots in more than 10 neighborhood nooks of Dallas, so there’s something for everyone!

INDOOR- 10 spots with fireplaces

Bowen House – Uptown

Easily one of the hottest bar scenes in town! The fireplace in the main dining area near the Victorian-meets-Prohibition style bar keeps the room nice and cozy in the winter months. Plus, the fall and winter-themed cocktails and hot bevs add to the cozy aesthetic!

Brick House – Plano

When it comes to large fireplaces, Brick House has one of the biggest! Its wide setting provides comforting warmth to any nearby seating which is more like personal, cozy sofa tables instead of booths!

Chelsea Corner – Knox Henderson

The coziest fireplace seat in the house at Chelsea Corner is out on the patio, and since it turns indoors in the chilly season, we’re counting this one as indoors for now! The intimate booth and table come right up next to it which makes it all yours for the taking. If themed martinis are your thing, they offer a s’mores espresso martini that is perfect for fireplace weather!

La Hacienda Ranch – Multiple locations

La Hacienda’s massive, country-style stone fireplaces are quite a statement but perfect to run to when the temps dip to winter lows! They remind us of being in a cabin and make the atmosphere warm enough to sip margs year-round (cheers to that).

Monica’s Mex-Tex Cantina – Cedars

Warm tortilla soup is much better when your table is next to a toasty fireplace. At Monica’s, the fireplace sits in the center of the establishment. There are multiple table options that offer warmth while you enjoy your Mex-Tex for lunch, dinner, and even brunch!

Terilli’s – Lower Greenville

The Italian fare and excellent espresso martinis are a favorite for Dallas locals but that’s not all Terilli’s is known for! It’s a popular spot for romantic dinners and the upstairs has a gas burning fireplace that adds a cozy factor to the darling loft for a special night out.

Henry’s Majestic – Knox Henderson

While Henry’s hosts plenty of spots to warm up on the patio, the real prize is the fireplace upstairs. It’s more of an old fashioned, circular fireplace situated in the center of the floor to radiate heat throughout the space and makes for a prime craft-cocktail sipping atmosphere!

The Keg – Plano

What are prime ribs and old fashioned cocktails without a roaring fire? A stone fireplace on one side of The Keg is perfect for dinner and is idyllic for winter compared to general dining. Prop tip: make sure to make a res. and ask for a table near the fire!

The Mansion – Turtle Creek

The Mansion takes the cake when it comes to one of the best restaurants with fireplaces in Dallas. There’s more than one among the upscale rooms and they’re practically works of art. One of our favorites is the 16th century German stone fireplace!

Veritas Wine Room – Knox Henderson

In a comfy corner of the Henderson Avenue wine bar, a cozy fireplace is surrounded by a few lounging chairs and provides an intimate setting to enjoy a selection from a full wall of wine and charcuterie!

OUTDOOR- 10 patios with fireplaces and fire pits

Black Friar – Uptown

Chilly days have nothing on this pub scene! Fires on the patio are back at Black Friar, which is one of the best hangouts during the winter season. They also have some of the coziest, winter-worthy food items, and the setting is pretty cool, too!

Eight 11 Place – Frisco

Imagine: a glass-encased fireplace doubling as your tabletop! The white picket patio at Eight 11 is already picture-perfect and the fireplaces are like the bow on top. Pro tip: their selection of red wines pair perfectly with a stiff winter breeze and hanging on the patio.

HG Sply – Lower Greenville

Have you ever seen a fireplace inside the actual table? If not, travel to the rooftop at HG Sply! When scouting out patio fireplace locations, put a pin in this one for sure because of the incredible downtown views. It’s especially beautiful once Lower Greenville has decorated the streets all around with holiday lights that add to the cozy experience around the fire!

Honor Bar – Highland Park

Aka, the laid back scene of Highland Park Village! Relax in one of their outdoor patio chairs close to a double-sided fireplace that greets you when you arrive! The vibe is the perfect amount of cozy and chic when you need a little warming up without having to go inside.

Moxie’s – Uptown

For a group setting that rivals the standard dining experience, have your (socially-distanced) crew pull up a chair around a huge, circular fireplace table outside of Moxie’s Dallas! It’s close to the outdoor bar, plus they have great shareable apps to pass around the fireplace!

Perry’s Steakhouse – Park District

Perry’s already has an ultra-glam reputation around town and that extends to its patio and variety of fireplaces. Check out the lava rock fire pit, as well as the modern, glass-enclosed fire that frames one of the patio walls!

Smoky Rose – Little Forest Hills

There’s more than one fiery blaze to huddle around but the showstopper is a stone fire pit set off a bit from the main patio area. It sits in front of a dreamy sculpture surrounded by plush couches and cute poufs to relax on!

The Henry – Oak Lawn

Follow the light-up arrow to The Henry but instead of dining in the downstairs patio, head to the one upstairs that boasts where there’s a darling brick fireplace! Pull up a chair and order a cup of their outstanding coffee to pair with the warmth of the fire.

The Rustic – Uptown

One of Uptown’s favorite backyards, The Rustic has some new, cozy additions! Little, log burning fireplaces have been placed around the tables so you can pull up a chair and feel the warmth while listening to their live music features.

Upside – West Village

The rooftop patio at Upside has the dreamiest fireplace built right into the wall, creating a mini-retreat of sorts from the world below! It also has one of the best views of the city that we’d dub extremely Instagram-able!

Every seasoned Texan knows that a quick dip in temps doesn’t always indicate a winter season that’s ready to stick. So, bookmark this blog and save it for the next time Jack Frost rolls through The Metroplex.
