Entertainment The Cedars neighborhood is just south of Downtown, and it’s super up-and-coming! For one, there’s an Alamo Drafthouse in the area — every movie and beer lover’s dream. Right next door is Gilley’s, which hosts the South Side Ballroom venue and some of the best live music in Dallas. Living over here means saving on an Uber to that concert you’ve been dying to go to. Soon, you’ll be seeing a number of other awesome business in the area AND a super train. You heard me: a super train; a high-speed train that will connect Dallas to Houston in just 90 minutes. You’re practically living at NASA in the Cedars.
