Deemed one of the best places to live in Tennessee. Franklin is a small, dense suburb where most of the residents own their homes. Packed with Civil War history, antebellum architecture, and highly rated public schools drive real estate prices up. Franklin is one of the most expensive neighborhoods, but it does provide a priceless lifestyle, great bakeries, antique shops and casual restaurants.
Brentwood, about ten miles south of Nashville, is another affluent neighborhood mostly made up of large homes, several shopping centers, and modern conveniences like grocery stores. The Cool Springs area (shared with neighboring city, Franklin) is a more preferable commute than Downtown Nashville, and includes dozens of national and international employers/headquarters, the Galleria and hundreds of other stores and restaurants to visit.
Although both the Brentwood and Franklin neighborhoods are mostly privately owned homes, there are a good number of apartment properties available for those looking to rent in the area. You won’t find any high-rise buildings however, as apartments here are primarily garden style communities.
