Located 30-40 minutes north of Nashville, the Hendersonville and Gallatin suburbs rest along Old Hickory Lake, fed by the Cumberland River. Hendersonville alone includes 26 miles of shoreline along the lake that residents and visitors enjoy by boating, fishing, camping and swimming.

These cities have more than 200 years of American history, and are known for being home to some of Nashville’s most famous country music artists, like Johnny Cash! The Hendersonville and Gallatin communities offer abundant entertainment, dining and shopping opportunities, and foster that tight-knight community feel through yearlong events. If you like to be involved, be sure to check out the Sumner County Fair, the Gallatin Christmas Parade, and the Candlelight Cemetery Tour. Although mostly made up of private homes, a fair amount of apartments are available for rent in the Hendersonville and Gallatin areas, like charming townhome style units set along Gallatin’s historic downtown square!
