Murfreesboro is a suburban city about 34 miles south of Nashville that’s seeing massive growth, as people from all over the country continue to move to the area. This comes as no surprise with it’s highly-rated schools and reputation as a national leader in job creation. As the population rises in Murfreesboro, so does the number of homes being built. The good news for renters is that there is a surprisingly large amount of apartment properties to choose from with good starting rates as well!
In true suburbia fashion, Murfreesboro lacks a large “downtown”. Members of the community frequently find their way to the square on Main Street instead, especially during popular events such as the Christmas tree lighting, Jazz Fest, and community trick-r-treating–Is this the making of a Hallmark movie, or what?!
Murfreesboro has its own way of handling public transportation known as the Rover System. These small green buses hold up to sixteen people at a time and operate on 7 routes, taking passengers to and from various parts of the city.
