The start of summer marks the beginning of the busiest time of year for apartment properties and renters. Even as things have shifted as a result of stay-at-home orders and calls for extended social distancing, we’re finding that the busiest time of year to move is still the busiest time of year to move!
Since market pricing is based upon good ‘ol supply and demand, a higher number of renters looking to move means that price remains virtually sustained during the summer months. Apartment properties have less of an actual need to draw in prospective renters through varied pricing, and specials since a higher number of renters naturally venture in on their own. All this to say, if your lease is up during the summer months this year, one of the best ways to get a great deal is to keep tabs on newer properties still trying to fill larger amounts of vacant units by way of optimized pricing and move-in specials for new tenants!

The Muse at Midtown (Midtown/Galleria/North Dallas)

Starting rates at The Muse are around $1,129 for one-bedroom units and $1,999 for two-bedroom units which are just over average for north Dallas, according to our neighborhood guide. But, if you’re into things like carpets no one has walked on, a shower that’s never been used or fresh appliances, a brand new property is your best bet! Skyline Trinity (Trinity Groves)
Skyline lounge clubhouse facing downtown, on-site bike storage and dog run, DIY pet washing station, luxe fitness center and yoga studio, resort-style pool – the amenities are stacked at Skyline Trinity! It sits along Trinity River in Kessler Park, right across from Lone Star, and just a 10-minute walk from everything at Trinity Groves. It’s also steps away from Trinity Skyline trail for all you runners and bikers out there! When it comes to finishes, Skyline Trinity features crisp details like granite countertops and large kitchen islands, spacious walk-in closets, and private balconies in select units.

It’s walking distance to Knox/Henderson and sits right next to Jaspers Uptown, Velvet Taco, Trader Joes, Apple, and tons of shopping. A side note worth mentioning is that it’s also located off a one-way street, which means half the traffic even in such a popular neighborhood! Let’s take it clear across downtown to Deep Ellum – if you’re looking to move between now and September, The Gabriella should be on your radar! They’re offering new residents up to 6 weeks free if they’re moved in by September, which can save leaseholders $2.5k throughout the term of their lease. Get finishes such as wine fridges, wood-grain plank flooring, and luxe white kitchen finishes in your unit and on-site amenities such as a ground-floor Tom Thumb, outdoor lounge with skyline views, and full fitness club with a cell phone lounge and Yoga/TRX studio.
