South of Lady Bird Lake and east of I-35 lies Southeast Austin! Apartments here range in wide varieties, from new and posh to more historic and retro. East Riverside is an up-and-coming, popular spot for renters in Southeast Austin, especially because it is just outside of Downtown and relatively affordable. East Riverside is more laid-back and spread out than downtown, and is definitely the place you want to be if you’re into chill bars, hidden gem family-owned restaurants, and funky Austin vibes. The Jackalope is a popular ATX bar with a location in Southeast Austin that features local beers, cocktails, and pub grub. Buzzmill is also another popular spot with its inexpensive coffee, ciders, draft beer, and amazing brunch. Not to mention this place is open 24 hours a day! A lot of these places are perfect for dates or drinks because they have a really relaxed vibe.
