Also, you can check out the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. Here you can see the beautifully landscaped gardens and enjoy the Thursday live music concert series! They are always holding family friendly events in a gorgeous natural setting. One of the major Lakewood highlights is the huge Fourth of July parade and celebration, where everyone gathers to celebrate America’s Independence Day. Also, you have White Rock Lake nearby, where you can kayak or standup paddle board. The White Rock Lake Trail is one of the most prominent in Dallas, where plenty of people go to jog or walk around the lake for their daily exercise or a nice stroll at sunset.

Organic grocery shopping comes easy with Lakewood’s own Whole Foods Market. And check out nearby Times Ten Cellars for a great wine bar where you can sample different wines each week. Then head over to Curiosities, a antique store where you can find anything from one-of-a-kind trinkets to large captain trunks from the 1800’s. Definitely a unique experience in the heart of Lakewood’s shopping!
